Our Technology and Digital Early Careers Programme is built to kick- start your career in tech. Equipped with both on-the-job and structured training sessions, annual Early Careers events, and a vibrant community of Early Careers colleagues.

If you want to kick-start your career in tech you’re in the right place. On Global’s three-year training programme you’ll follow a unique development pathway that’ll give you the technical experience and soft skills to make a big impact. We have a fantastic partnership with Code First Girls, with a collective mission to reduce the gender diversity gap in tech by giving women the skills to break into, and thrive in the tech industry.

On our Early Careers programme, you’ll be part of one of the key teams that form of Technology & Digital, from Software Engineering and Testing to Product, Project Management, Data and more. This will give you the chance to:

Global operates a Smart Working Policy, giving Early Careers colleagues a hybrid approach to working. With a requirement to be in the office 3 days per week, it's the perfect balance between collaborative and individual focus time.

Application process

You may have completed a coding bootcamp, be a regular reader of Wired magazine or have a degree in Computer Science. We’re not focused on the specifics: all we want to see is your keen interest in tech. We regularly encourage and hire return-to-work candidates interested in a fresh challenge. So far, I’m enjoying working as a technology apprentice at Global! I've worked with teams including delivery, infrastructure, and now data analytics. Some work highlights include helping to project manage the creation of a digital process on Workday to onboard suppliers throughout the entire organisation, creating a website for the infrastructure team, and participating in the Jingle Bell Ball as a member of the network support team. Being able to learn in a friendly atmosphere is what I enjoy most about working at Global. I feel incredibly supported by my team, and everyone I have met so far is kind and willing to answer any questions I may have which has allowed me to learn a wide set of skills.
